An unusual concert opera for people with cystic fibrosis. May 27th on the stage at the Theatre siren will include the Rafal Pawnuk – valued in Poland and abroad opera singer Anna Kutkowska-Kass – Opera singer and Dr. genetics and Robert Morawski – composer and pianist. Event under the slogan “Let’s give a chance to adulthood with cystic fibrosis,” Polish Society Against Cystic Fibrosis hopes to initiate the collection of funds for the construction of a treatment center for cystic fibrosis patients at the Institute of Mother and Child in Warsaw.

The concert is a project that will initiate the collection of funds to create a center of treatment of patients with cystic fibrosis in Warsaw – says Dorota Hedwig, President of the Polish Society for Fight Against Cystic Fibrosis. We have to self-finance the construction of a branch of cystic fibrosis in the IMiDs, so all the activities that we have bring us closer to achieving this goal. We hope that through organizations such exceptional and unique events, which is a concert opera, we can publicize the issue and to find people of good will who like us, they want to give a chance to cystic fibrosis patients to adult life.

The stage gets talented opera singers who will perform the world’s most beautiful arias, duets and trios. The concert will be attended by Bozena Bujnicka – soprano, Anna Kutkowska-Kass – coloratura soprano, Aleksandra Gudzio mezzo-soprano, Rafał Pawnuk – bass, Robert Morawski – piano. The evening conducted by Wojciech Malajkat – Director of Mermaid Theatre, and the stories charges PTWM present known and respected actors, who every day are in the theater.

The revenue from ticket sales-bricks will be used to build the first of cystic fibrosis treatment center in central Poland. Currently, the average patient age in Poland is 22 years, while in Great Britain – 45 years. That is why Polish Society Against Cystic Fibrosis has taken up the challenge of the renovation portion of the third floor of the Main Building at the Institute of Mother and Child in Warsaw. The cost of such a project is 2 million zł.

Mother and Child Institute has grown steadily in terms of clinical and scientific. Unfortunately, at the same time, the hospital infrastructure is lagging behind. We constantly strive to ensure that our patients have the best conditions of treatment, as well as the standards under which it is held in no way different from the European, and therefore particularly appreciate the initiative of building six isolation rooms for patients with cystic fibrosis at our hospital, which came PTWM, and which certainly brings us closer to this goal – says the director of the Institute of Mother and Child – Tomasz Maciejewski.

The honorary patronage over the concert took the wife of the President of Poland, Anna Komorowska.
