Season Krakow’s literary walks open! – Rmf24.pl

With the advent of spring Krakow Festival Office organizes literary walks around the capital of Malopolska. It will be a unique opportunity for a closer insight into Krakow’s authors and book references, anecdotes and biographical trivia associated with the places we pass every day. Literary walks will not only be a kind of “reading of the city”, but also an opportunity to meet people close to writers. In April office invites you to walk the trail of Stanisław Lem (April 25) – the most popular Polish translated author of all time.

The trail will Lem Krakow, which became a refuge for the writer, after moving out of his beloved Lviv. It is here that the author of Solaris has spent most of his adult life. As part of the walk you will be able to visit places connected with his professional life, including Literary Publishing, publishing his work in Poland. These places are also dedicated to the memory of Lem to the end of the meet with Wojciech Zemkiem – Master’s personal secretary.

Readers Literary roam Krakow for the second season. So far roamed the footsteps of Cracow poets, literary visited Nowa Huta on bicycles and parts of the Krakow present in prisons, met limericks, borders, and the plaintiff Wislawa Szymborska and cabaret songs of the Young Polish, looking for a Krakowski realism knajpianego . This time, avid readers and hikers are invited for a walk on Saturday 25th April.

NOTE! Participation in the literary walks is free but requires registration. Anyone interested can send notification by email: spacery@miastoliteratury.pl. The number of participants is limited – do not hesitate to records!
