The question of the meaning of the words “foreign body” can not be reduced to explain the title, but it touches the very heart of the problem raised in the film. The director introduces us to the story of a young Italian Angelo, who starts work in an international corporation. The action takes place in Warsaw, where the company has one of its office buildings. Because of faith and moral convictions Angelo is harassed by his superior – Kris. the main thread is accompanied by two extreme images symbolizing the moral condition of modern man. The first is the vocation to religious life . Angelo feels abandoned by a young girl who, as she says, has selected greater love – God, and he shares her deep faith. The second image is a callousness of conscience , transmitted by the mother to daughter. Mother, responsible for crimes during the communist period, and trains for itself adopted daughter. The latter, despite the fact that despises his mother, completely conformed to it, it becomes devoid of the superior value of the corporation, which hired Angelo.
Morally “foreign body”
If someone asks about the metaphor of “foreign body”, I would say that it is the perception of form Angelo as element is not adapted to the modern economy rules . This is obviously a way of seeing the corporate, or one in which the profits blurred vision clear what is good and bad.
