Premiere of “Fallen Angels” Noel Coward, directed by Krystyna Janda – comedy about girlfriends, women of the upper classes implicated in the affair with the same man – to be held on December 17 in the Warsaw Oh-Theatre.

Text Coward – British theater director, playwright and screenwriter and composer and actor – is the story of two friends, Julia and Jane, who have known each other for years, and their husbands play a round of golf together. The action begins when women learn that the man, in which the two fell in love during the holidays once, appeared in London. Despite the uncertainty, the two decide to meet him.

“This is the scenario for the two actresses, extraordinary to play. It’s a classic English, played all over the world. These roles have always been a test of the actor’s workshop. Give the opportunity to present the full range of skills and a sense of humor, a distance. It’s an art, which is considered to be an excellent opportunity for the performances of the actresses and that they are well played, along with the audience, “- said the director of the play Krystyna Janda, while attempting to media in Oh-Theatre in Warsaw. As noted, the roles of Jane and Julia took such actresses as, inter alia, Tallulah Bankhead, Susanne York and Joan Collins.

As pointed out, the art – rooted in the realities of the late 20s and 30s – could not be located in a different time. “It says here as a woman, about what they take topics, how they think and react is assigned strictly to that time. Today, something like that could happen. At some point, one of the characters says: oh, there will be war , dear. That woman happy, rich, having no worries, who like to have fun. They respond as women not at risk – do not have to fight for their rights, for emancipation “- emphasized Janda.

” This is a relic, a trinket theater . I knew I would need actresses of the highest order, we all had the pleasure of this show. I think that the audience and actors, seek pleasure. Departures from serious repertoire. I envy them when I see them play, “- she said.

The play was written in 1925. and still enjoys great popularity. Coward was not only a respected English playwright, but also an actor and screenwriter, songwriter and musicals that were staged in the West End and on Broadway.

“I sense that we will have a great time. It’s for a tasty, well-directed” – echoed Janda actress Magdalena Cielecka one of the main roles.

“This is not some very revealing thing. He talks about things simple and universal – about people, their weaknesses, about marriage and the dilemmas of the heart, in a light and ironic. It also describes the woman, her mentality, the approach to life’s dilemmas. Literature farcical recognized everything in parenthesis – it should not be taken quite seriously, and we are also trying to impose on our roles mist form, which is a farce “- she added.

In addition to comedy occurs Cielecka May Ostaszewska, Marta Chyczewska, Thomas Drabek, Wojciech Kalarus, Cezary Kosinski / Maciej Wierzbicki. Set design by Maciej M. Putowski, costumes – Thomas Ossoliński.
