Industry film institute picks – rmf24.pl

Manufacturers movies inflate budgets, distributors do not give part of the money from the box office. Detract from the influence of the Polish Film Institute – reported “Pulse of Business”.

Money on filmmaking in Poland is not enough, so the filmmakers are fighting for every penny, often bending the law and simple honesty. Widespread practice is inflating budgets in order to obtain a higher subsidy from the Polish Film Institute.

The Association of Film 1.2 describes the mechanism in a letter to Agnes Odorowicz, the head of the institute: manufacturer inflate the budget, artificially inflating costs and contribution own.

As a result, even if the movie brings adequate income, and there is the possibility of repayment of the grant, it is most often the PFI fails or buck – is written in the letter.
