On the eve of the 14th anniversary of the death of Jerzy Giedroyc was launched web portal dedicated to the Literary Institute and the Parisian “Kultura”. With it you can view electronic versions include all numbers “Culture” and “Historical Notebooks.”
Portal shows the achievements of the great Pole and access to sources of Polish thought political – said Undersecretary of State in the Chancellery of the President of Poland Maciej Klimczak. He stressed that Jerzy Giedroyc was a beacon for many of today’s politicians. I hope that was a lesson that constructive and draw conclusions from all this – he said.
As the president of the Association of Literary Institute “Culture” Wojciech Sikora portal is a kind of virtual archive which will enable researchers, students and enthusiasts journey through the extraordinary resources. There are, among others, biographies of approx. 170 people, related to the Parisian “Kultura” and their most important texts, letters from the rich correspondence Jerzy Giedroyc and photographs, of which more than half has not been previously published. There are interviews, films and recordings. You can also take a virtual walk through the house at 91 avenue de Poissy in Maisons-Laffitte.
