Wade Wilson presented to the general public at the beginning of the year and on the occasion of the film’s release on the market through the publishing house Egmont appeared first comic series Marvel Now. Have not yet had a chance to review the of this, so on the occasion of the June release – Hunters of Souls – decided to take on the workshop also dead presidents.
In the first of a new adventure Deadpool does not get lengthy introduction, do not know the form, we do not have time to anything. Duet writers – Brian Posehn, Gerry Duggan – throw the readers of the action and in total this form of story really appealed to me. This is a very nice ploy, because often “renewed series” we are witnessing although residual present form. The creators of the award-dialogues reveal the history of the protagonists, but in this case there is no point in wasting unnecessary pages – have already introduced the film all in the universe – so we can enjoy the story.
Perhaps the word “enjoy” it is a small exaggeration, because the adventure although it has its moments, but it is not the peak of the possibility of Gerry Duggan. At the beginning of the comic madman we know that looking at the current situation, the United States has determined that this once beautiful country collapses and the need to resurrect the American presidents who will lead the US to glory. Unfortunately, communities, necromancy was successful, so the world there are leaders, but presidents do not intend to fight for the country, and they want it … Destroy because it is on its ruins will be a new, better America. Sounds intriguing? Because all in all it is, but you need to be aware that these 132 pages of comics is one big run.
As you can easily guess Captain America can not fight with the great leaders, so s.h.i.e.l.d. employs to share Deadpool. The whole story is basically a continuous action, bloody scenes, a lot of humor and breaking the fourth wall. This last element looks really good and if you like the character Wade to appreciate some situational dialogues and jokes. This is not perhaps the level of the aforementioned film – some of the jokes are fairly dry – but in the case of the hero you have to take this concept … Here sauce pouring in torrents, and in the meantime Willson throws jokes and such a concept certainly captivates fans mercenary. While reading a volume several times I had the feeling that this is how should present this adventure. Well, maybe not in every passage, but authors really managed to capture the spirit of the series. In addition, I appreciate the intervention Polish interpreter, who also decided to emphasize his work on volume – I hope that in future work will also be pleasantly surprised . It’s kind of only a small addition, but Oskar Rogowski recovered homework.
Only at the end of the story, you can breathe, summed up the whole project, laugh with jokes and the next a total of ending well inspire the next work. It is unfortunate that the writers have not decided earlier to slow down action and offer readers a few pages quieter events, but probably for Deadpool we must prepare for a controlled chaos. Positive impression made on me drawings performed by Tony Moore, who at the beginning and does not have a special scenes, however, in the later stages of the competition surprises some personnel. Attention certainly deserve multi-format drawings, and already mentioned several times violent scenes in which Deadpool must use his gift of regeneration … I have the impression that the entire presentation really fit the realities of the universe and the insane mind Wade.
one can only regret that Dead presidents so long to untwist and lacking here more heroes from the Marvel universe. It’s quite funny, because although the action here flies through the cards, this is just the tip reveals the true strength of this universe, the mercenary and the last scene actually encourage second volume. In total, the tip of the first volume made of space reached for the second comic, which read review later this week.
