At the age of 87 years died Krystyna Siesicka, author of the popular books for young people – gives the BBC. The writer has received numerous awards, including Gold Medal Gloria Artis.

Siesickiej first novel – “The match on the cusp” of 1966. became a bestseller and is still widely read by young people. The last book, “The Street of St. Lawrence”, a writer released in 2010. In total, it published more than 30 novels of her authorship.

Christine Siesicka was also the author of scenarios such films as “Ursula” (1970) with Richard Hanin, “Lake peculiarities” (1972) and “The crane and heron” (1985).
