The Girl with a watering climbing on tiptoe to water the tree growing next to the building is a large painting done on the external wall of the building of the Institute of Chemistry at the center of Bialystok by a graduate of the Lodz Academy of Fine Arts – Natalia Cancer. Mural was created as part of the “Folk on the street”, organized by the Regional Centre for Cultural Animation, whose aim was to introduce themes of folk culture Podlasie Bialystok public space. The author, in such an original way, interpreted the story of “giants” from the collection “Hecz, away, has become a thing. Extracted from the trunk of memory” developed by Wojciech Załęski.
Bialystok known mural exceeds the limits. A similar girl with a watering can climbing up on her toes can be seen in the mall Avenue Mall Osijek. She was also on one of the walls of the building in the Chinese city of Ningbo.
The resulting mural in 2013, has gained immense popularity not only throughout the country but also abroad. In the last year he went on a postage stamp. This, in turn, has been recognized by the Italian philatelic magazine “L’Arte del francobollo” for the most original stamp of the month.
