Culture on the Grass, Culture backyards SCHEDULE OF EVENTS – faktykaliskie.pl (press release)

Concerts, workshops and open-air performances – with the beginning of vacation starts next edition of the project “Culture in the grass – Culture in the courtyards.” Events will be targeted at both adults and children residents of the city. You can also invite artists to their backyard.

As part of this year’s edition will feature three events: July 3 and August 28 “on the grass”, and on August 14 “backyards.” The first two will be organized on Sunday afternoon in the City Park. – We start with the one hour concert performed by different musicians presenting a diverse repertoire. After the concerts the youngest attending will be able to take part in developing creative art workshops. On the grass will take place the action theatrical and quasi-theatrical, performances, Bajko-reading and exhibition of works of Kalisz artists – says Monika Frątczak of Kalisz Initiative of the City, which is the organizer of the cycle.

“Culture in the courtyards” is an attempt to tame the return of the space between residential buildings. – We want to talk about the importance of – past and possible – backyards for residents. The activities in the yards are directed primarily to children and young people living in a given district – adds Monika Frątczak. – Transmute yard in the artistic space. The Academy of Art children see the outdoor performance will take part in workshops circus, prepare their own musical instruments to perform in the final concert of the workshop for parents. Adults would like – the survey and workshops – ask about their needs as citizens.
