For a few days – exactly 25 Oct – will be 178. the anniversary of the birth of Georges Bizet. The work that ensured his subsequent notoriety, led directly to his death. Defeat the premiere of “Carmen”, most likely caused successive heart attacks, and this, combined with a high temperature and a state of mental exhaustion caused the death of the composer on the night of 2 on 3 Jun 1875.

After the composer’s death, the world recognized the greatness of “Carmen.” Today continues the triumphal procession of this Opera on the stage of the world. Played it everywhere and always, sang it all, in all languages, for more than 100 years, the archetype of the genre.

Director of production] Beata redo-Dobber – responsible for set design, costumes, movement, stage direction and projection media was that the statement, although true, the rules established by Bizet, will surprise the audience with modernity and numerous everyday life. Indeed, in the XIX century in the Opera appear modern suits – leather jackets, denim shirt, heavy boots, military uniforms, but also full of red lace outfits inspired by Spain.
