Tours, lectures, construction of the pavilion – are just a few attractions Festival of Wooden Architecture “The Tree and the Sacred” in 2014, which begins on Saturday in the Heights-woodpecker. Will last until August 23.

The festival aims to contribute to the promotion of cultural heritage of Podlasie, which is the wooden architecture. He has a way to enrich Podlaski Cultural Route “Tree and Sacred” on the annual festival of wooden architecture, in which they arise installations and objects inspired by the cultural heritage of our region.

Participants of the festival will have the opportunity to see how a pavilion inspired by the

architecture of Podlasie Agnieszka project Kacprzak and Luke Szczepanowicz. Lectures on the wooden heritage of the region, among others, will give Arthur Gawel, Dorotheus Fionik, Janusz Korbel and Jerzy Uścionowicz. In the program there are also trips to the Museum of the Little Motherland in Studziwodach, studio Vladimir Naumiuk and follow the trail “The Tree and the Sacred”. The festival will end Żemerwa team performance and a discussion on the possible use of wooden folk architecture in contemporary building.

Admission to all events is free.
