Pictures: Bartek Warzecha

the Last performance of the Bialystok Puppet Theatre was established based on the play by Hungarian author Istvána Tasnádiego, which in the fast pace of success. Nothing surprising. In an interesting way that shows the world of today’s youth, immersed in the Internet reality. Communicate with each other in social networks, Teens are often not aware of the case but with threats for them to escape. History on the stage of the Bialystok theatre has gained an attractive layer of visual and music.

intriguing

“Manipulation” is a key word in this story. The characters are three teenagers – Zsuzsi, Mother and Heni – which operates in two parallel worlds – real and virtual. Zsuzsi in love with Matim, who is not reciprocating her feelings. Won’t even make the ranks of his friends. In addition will Heni – new girl in the class. Zsuzsi can’t take it anymore and decides to think of intrigue. Brings to life (but only online) – brothers and sisters, Victor and Mojrę. In a fast paced Heni sighs to Victor, and He does not see the world outside Mojrą.

Zsuzsi washes his hands, seeing as Mother and Belong more and more involved in virtual knowledge. “I could solve them in the mood,” he says with evident satisfaction Zsuzsi. Finally decides to confront real life with contrived. Effect? For Matiego and Heni annoying.

Modern ideas on the stage

As befits what is happening in the computer world story, the scene is filled spoiled monitors, processors, and suspension cables. On them is a great part of the play. An interesting solution is also the part of the set design, which resembles a computer motherboard. Her hole is also a few games. Set design created by Michael vyshkovsky the district also has many secluded corners, from which arise the puppets or the actors themselves. In some moment appears on the scene, the heads of the actors (Lucy Grzeszczyk, Isabella Mary Wilczewskiej and Piotr Wiktorko), created using a 3D printer. If we are dealing with a modern theme, why not use modern technology? The memory stores fragments, which form in 3D depth look at computer monitors.

Media Christopher Kiziewicza correspond with the music. Pulsate to the beat of electronic fragments Alva Noto and Sakamoto Ruichi. Before spectators ‘ eyes are flashing a series of symbols – as when checking the hard disk or a malfunction of the computer. With the collapse we are dealing also in human relations.

Excellent proposal not only for teenagers but also for their parents – how often immersed in virtual reality.

the Play “Cyber Cyrano” can be viewed 5 January at 9.00 h in the Bialystok Puppet Theatre.
